Why Weavers Grove

Welcome to Weavers Grove, a unique neighborhood developed by Habitat for Humanity of Orange County, a visionary organization that envisions a world where everyone has a safe, stable, and affordable place to live. Unfortunately, this reality is not yet widespread, and the challenge of providing affordable and inclusive housing is prevalent across the country, including Chapel Hill. With a steadily growing population, the housing market in Chapel Hill has become increasingly tight, resulting in higher home prices, averaging around $747,000, making it one of the most expensive places to live in the state, according to Realtor.com (July 2023).

However, Weavers Grove stands as a beacon of hope amidst this housing challenge. As a mixed-income community, it is designed to make homeownership a reality for those who may find it difficult to afford the soaring prices in the area. By offering affordable housing options, Weavers Grove fosters a diverse and inclusive community that benefits not only its residents but also the broader Chapel Hill community. With a commitment to providing safe, stable, and affordable housing, Weavers Grove exemplifies Habitat for Humanity's vision of creating a world where everyone can find a place to call home. Join us in this transformative community that values accessibility, diversity, and a brighter future for all.

Weavers Grove is a Habitat For Humanity of Orange County Community, locally developed in partnership with White Oak Properties.
